Deco lives!
This makes me terribly sad. Am I lacking the proper perspective? With so many animals in shelters being euthanized daily, it seems criminal to buy rather than to adopt. Then I look at—and hold—these puppies, and recognize that they are not to blame, of course. And yet the quandary remains—if we buy, the industry is sustained and the killing of the strays and unwanteds continues. Publicly funded spaying and neutering would go a long way toward improving the situation; but the American allergy to taxation and government programs puts that notion far out of reach. (at Petland)
